Dr. Ankit Patel, although not a native of Ohio, moved here in 1998 with his family. He attended The Ohio State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry, before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University in 2014 where he was ranked among the top of his class.
After completing his degree, Dr. Ankit was accepted into a General Practice Residency at the VA NY Harbor Healthcare System where he completed a full year of training that was heavily focused on implant placement and restorations. Afterward, he decided to continue his training further at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center as the chief resident through the prestigious Mount Sinai Hospital.
Upon completing his training, he moved back to Ohio to be closer to his family and his beloved Buckeyes! He continues to give back to our community, as he feels that it is important to always help others. He also participates as a healthcare provider for the Soldier Readiness Program where he is given the privilege to help our military members prepare for deployment. He also volunteers at the Look Up Dental Clinic which provides dental care for those in need.
Dr. Ankit became the owner of Blacklick Creek Dental, formerly Sean Matheny DDS, in August of 2018, and has fallen in love with the community and our patients. He is focused on providing the best dental care to his patients and enjoys helping people by changing lives through their smiles. Dr. Ankit will forever be a lifelong student and enjoys furthering his knowledge in dentistry. Every year, he continues to take over ten times the required continuing education to ensure that he is always up to date on any new and improved techniques and procedures.
